You may know our featured sugar artist as Michelle Ingalls, as she is known on social media. She has had a name change and we are going to let her introduce herself in her own words!
My name is Michelle Tincombe, I am the official inventor and owner of Sugarprism Edible Acrylic Paint and mother of two wonderfully amazing strong daughters.
I worked for approximately 12 years as a custody officer in three different capacities which was a very draining profession to say the least.
I do not have any formal training in art, it is simply an intrinsic passion for me and with passion comes a desire learn and strive to do better and sugar art is one of many platforms I love to apply my creativity toward.
When I set out to create an edible paint I was trying to make something that worked better and tasted better for my own cookies and cakes which eventually turned into quite a journey which has now landed my product and myself on the Food Network Challenges!
It is most exciting for me to be an artist and not just create, but invent and develop an edible art medium that truly performs like a real paint medium for the artists.. “by an artist for the artists’ brings me complete joy.
I have met so many amazing people and talented sugar artists along the way and gained some great friends as well, I am certainly looking forward to what lies behind each door that is opening for me on this sweet journey.
Please enjoy her work below and check out her Sugarprism paints!
